Kelly Peter Helowka confirms his intent to run for municipal office in Tiny Township in 2026 for the position of Councillor (one of three)
Short Bio: I am committed to protecting our water, air, environment, beaches and neighbourhoods.
My integrity is to the highest standard. I have a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise in most aspects of life. My wife and I chose to live in Tiny over a dozen years ago and wonder why we didn’t move here sooner. As a retired, highly decorated Sergeant in the RCMP, who led a team in Ontario’s Counter Terrorism Unit, has helped me to learn to create and maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses, other communities and stakeholders. I am a dedicated mature, trustworthy, amicable and accountable individual who would welcome and be grateful for your support.
Relevant background experience: I am excited to run for re-election leading up to the October 26 municipal election. Having been a police officer for over 36 years, I have always been fully invested in my community.
Over the years, I was a coach for many minor sports teams. I was the volunteer Ontario Special Olympics Liaison Officer for 12 years.
