The Entrance-Polls

The Entrance-Polls are a community-run, ranked-ballot evaluation of candidates who have voluntarily enrolled in the TinyTRA public process.

They allow residents to:

  • Learn about candidates early

  • Compare priorities, experience, and values

  • Express their views in a fair, structured way

  • Help elevate strong, independent candidates

Results are published transparently and used to guide post-poll support — not to form a slate.

Ready to Participate? Local democracy is not something we watch — it’s something we do. If you want a stronger voice in shaping Tiny Township’s future, we invite you to register.

❋ Why Your Participation Matters

In small communities, decisions are often shaped by:

  • Who is loudest

  • Who is most organized early

  • Who already has name recognition

The Entrance-Polls shift that balance by:

  • Giving quieter voices a platform

  • Encouraging thoughtful comparison

  • Rewarding preparation, clarity, and openness

Your participation helps ensure candidates are evaluated on substance — not rumors or backroom perceptions.

❋ How Voting Works

Voting takes place online during a clearly announced window

  • Ballots use ranked choice

  • You may rank as many or as few candidates as you wish

  • Your vote is confidential

  • Results are published in aggregate only

The goal is not to “pick winners,” but to reflect community sentiment clearly and fairly.

❋ Why We Call Them Entrance-Polls

The Entry-Polls take place before the official election period opens.

They are:

  • Advisory

  • Informational

  • Community-driven

They exist to help candidates and voters alike enter the election period better informed and better prepared.
