Short Bio:
I LIVED AND WORKED ALL MY LIFE IN TINY AND SURROUNDING AREA.
I'm sixth-generation in Tiny, and was raised in Lafontaine. Fluent in both official languages and indigenous, with a degree in Economics, over forty years in various industries including construction and hospitality, and thirty-five years of community coaching and volunteering, I bring solid management and people-focused skills, a tireless work ethic, and a commitment to excellence.
Married to Nicole, also raised in Lafontaine, we are parents to three sons who also graduated from local schools. I'm following in my father's footsteps who was local councils for fourteen years.
LOCAL VOICE YOU CAN TRUST. UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO TINY.
WORKING FOR YOU • Elected as your member of Township of Tiny Council in 2022 • Committee interests include Parks, Recreation, Heritage, and Culture • Voted against current New Build 'Mega' project, in favour of modest addition/renovation • Introduced motions to amend election sign bylaw that violated our freedom of expression • Voted for 15 m setback as opposed to 45 m for the Dynamic Shoreline Bylaw • In favour of improved access and amenities on current 14.5 kms of public beaches • Recommended delegations to the province for funding assistance with Farlain Lake and Tiny Beaches Road area flooding disasters • Introduced motion for a property tax relief program for designated heritage properties • Instrumental in the effort to preserve the Labatte House • Advocated for artificial ice at new Toanche Park Pavilion, more dog parks, and bilingual signage • Re-crafted Land Acknowledgement Statement to be more inclusive • Opposed Meaford TCE Project and province-appointed county warden • Proven integrity, strong work ethic, and leadership skills
